ASUS Crosshair IV Formula, running AMD Phenom II x64 @ 3.44 gHz (detuned)
RAM is OCZ AMD Black Ed. 2x2GB @ 1600 mHz

Basically, I can't run the comp on 4 GB. BSODs with "Page fault in nonpaged area". When it crashes, it can't start up again, not even POST. On 2GB it runs fine. I've tried both sticks individually in every slot, same result. Now, I'm pretty sure it's the mobo, simply because the sticks work fine individually.
I'm also running memtest as we speak.

I'm running W7 HP x64.

Sounds like you are correct in your assumption.

I wonder if disabling the paging file would help. Probably not, just a thought really.

I managed to boot it once with the 4GB, lasted about an hour before the BSOD.

actually it could be a couple different things.  it could be your hard drive, but unless you can at least boot into safe mode, there's not a good way to test.

Well, just my luck. Been getting a new bluescreen with just 2GB (System service exception). Maybe it could be the RAM, my mobo did give a RAM error light.

RAM too? My initial assessment doesn't seem to be valid anymore.

maybe a dimm slot itself is broken, causing the bluescreens when anything is plugged into that particular slot.
