today i died in dragon valley and saw really pixelized water and thought it was strange, so i checked my video settings and things were not as i thought they should be. i checked the optimization cache and there were three different folders, so i changed my video settings and cleared the cache.

the settings i changed wouldnt make that big of a difference (resolution, geometry), so i thought maybe the latest patch messed with them. can anyone confirm/deny that patches mess around with video settings, or am i just being paranoid?

I'm pretty sure they don't mess with your settings at all, the only thing is I know you have to optimize your shaders everytime you patch as if you changed your video settings.
