Hey, how many shots does it take to "kill" a person?
The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.
Hmmm...I've never played there, but I know a guy who refs there. (or used to..)Nic wrote:
The one up in Whistler, but the guy who manages it now is a big douchebag... so I stopped playing. Living in Squamish now and there are a few active fields up here, so I want to get back into it. Thats the same thing I dont like about stocks, also I feel like I move slower when I try to use it.

Learn the art of semi (or short, controlled bursts). M120 spring + 450mm tightbore barrel.
I've seen players empty 200+ bbs trying to take out 1 or 2 people. Sometimes it actually worked...
I've also seen players turn and make single shots, at distance. That was impressive. (...and sucked being on the receiving end, when they peg you in the center of your goggles from max effective range!)
the goggles do nothingDefCon-17 wrote:

I would prefer paintball but you need more protection. Not to mention the guns don't look like real ones, and don't shoot as far (in my experience).DefCon-17 wrote:
Paintballers have bigger balls.
(Actually, I have nothing against airsoft. I just prefer paintball.)
Against an enemy in cover, sure, keep them down while your squad flanks. That is basic tactics.aerodynamic wrote:

You are attacking with your team, how do you advance in case of an enemy firing at you? One or two guys kep him down and the other guys spread out and go around him.
You are attacking a bunker, how do you advance? The guy in the front and in hte center of the formation keep them pinned down while the other guys go around the bunker trying to surround it.
I don't know what kind of tactics you play with...

Let's compensate and call it an AR-15.FloppY_ wrote:

My club does the same thing but not always we get to do that depending on what mode we are playing.RAIMIUS wrote:

Every time they pop up, put a couple rounds toward them.
I've seen too many people go into "suppressive fire mode" by themselves. They think fire superiority is THE key to winning. People who go "rambo" (relying on a hail of bbs to advance) tend to fail pretty badly when they encounter people who use basic tactics and aim. I've had people empty entire mags at me and my team, only to take them out with less than a dozen bbs.
Generally, the group I play with relies on surprise, speed, and accuracy. We might have one or two guys who can provide sustained fire, but we mostly run light. We use distractions/stealth to gain an advantageous position, then quickly take out opponents with accurate shots.

this would be for fun. any examples of said pistols? they interest meGodFather wrote:
I stopped airsoft because I was always getting shot in the face lol
I got some misc. extra shit (good condition) pm me if your interested
I used some MP5 RIS... shot like 415fps or something.
If I were to get back into it i would probably get some 350-380 fps gas blowback full metal pistols with some of my friends. I've found that gas and full metal is where it's at. They're pretty simple, solid, accurate easy and realistic. Too much shit to fuck with when you deal with big stocky AEG's. You gotta worry about charging, having shit battery's, your battery dying mid-fight. Not to mention having to rip wires out of a stock and jamming shit back in it while your getting shot at. Also I find AEG's are oddly weighted, but gas feel amazing.
I play more for fun not competitive though.

Again, I play more for fun. So a realistic sized weapon with realistic features is what I look for.Sup3r_Dr4gon wrote:
Is there any real point in getting a full sized AR? Wouldn't something small and light like an MP5K or MP7 be better, or does their accuracy/power/something suffer for their reduced size?
That's somewhat contradictory.GodFather wrote:

Longer barrels provide significant accuracy improvments. (As do tightbore barrels)Sup3r_Dr4gon wrote:

Yeah I had to read that twice because it seemed weird. I guess his idea of "Fun" is realism.DefCon-17 wrote:

The Mp5 has a ridiculous small Mag and very short range.Sup3r_Dr4gon wrote:
