Damn right, I find war history fascinating. Just something about it that gives me the passion. It started when I first played Day of Defeat(the original and I mean fucking original) that is when I got to like ww2 and eventually got into war stuff and eventually got to like medieval stuff(still kinda don't like it much)FatherTed wrote:

Perhaps give it a few weeks before you run off devoting your life to war studies. I get the same mood after watching things like BoB and the Pacific that make me want to study WW2 intensely, but after a while I realize that although I really do love learning about WW2, I wouldn't want it to be the centre of my life, so I just go back and re-read some of my war books etc rather than enrolling at a Uni to study it. That said, I might be wrong and that could be the path for you. Either way, give it some time first.

studying ANYTHING involves self-discipline and self-motivation. there will NEVER be the 'one' thing that comes along, ig, and snaps you up in a frenzy of studying and excitement. people talk about what they want to do with their life as if it's some fate-bound, deterministic thing: as if everyone has a 'role' and a 'reason' to be here. you don't. do what you enjoy and make the best out of what you can; studying won't get any easier as the years go on- especially when you're making money. the incentive to give up the money-making lifestyle and go back to being a student will shrink year after year. if you're interested in something enough to spend a few hours a day reading, writing or generally thinking about it, then DO IT. you have to discipline yourself to 'be' interested in something, non-stop, for 3-4 years i.e. a full degree. i mean, i fucking love books but some days i just don't even want to look at or think about my course-- but i have to. war history or whatever else you study will be the exact same.
don't wait for the miracle solution/course to come to you. it wont.

Really? I'd have thought the US and some other bad boys would have at least used their subs once since then (notwithstanding North Korea, which the article talks about). funny zeek, i had something happen to me that i cant control. an eye disease is something you can just reverse. so, i delt with it and moved on. you took drugs and cut yourself. seems like you have the issues.

i dont hate what i am doing...what are you on about? i help run the worlds largest airline. this aint the busy time right now you douche. the dispatchers are working all the plans. the morning flights are just leaving. i dont have much to do. i dont spend all day on here. typically off in mid morning when it gets busy...or it just stays minimized. your conclusions are messed up.
