I was just wondering if I should even bother. I have all the neccesary cords, converters I need to hook bf2 up to my projection screen. It is 103in. diagonally with over 5,000 watts of pure power pushing my speakers. Right now my system is capable of 7.1 surround sound but we use 5.1. I was wondering if it would look good down there or be all choppy. I played call of duty (the first one) down there and it wasn't that bad at all. Here comes my problem. I can't seem to get my ethernet connection back up. I had to cut the plug off to feed it threw my walls and I tried every direction manual on how to re connect it but I can get the damn connection working propperly down there. If anyone knows how to do it step by step that would be great. Sorry if this topic was used before but I did try and search before posting. I just need to know how to recconect the damn plug to the ethernet wire oh I'm using cat5 by the way 50 ft. of cat 6 was a lil more expensive.
Dont think u can if u dont have the special tools to do it - if u do just look in the other end of the cable and compare colors, that is if its not two machines that are connected .....

When you say you can't get Connection you talking about your web ? connection ? Sorry bro i dident understand Question can you please explain what exacly you having truble with ?

Well I tried like 15 times to reconnect the plug to the wires. I have all the tools to do it the color diagrams are just to advanced for me I guess. I even tried to compare the wires and one wire wouldn't go in right when I finalized the plug. Its given me a head ache. Right now I'm playing xbox 360's need for speed most wanted on it and OMG !!!! INSANE. That's what made me realize I wanted to ask u all for some help, so I can play bf2 on it. The damn connection just won't work right when I do it.

1. was made just for TV, DVD players, Xbox, playstation.
2 Was made Just for PC I.E it will only work with PC likemyin I cant watch DVD's on it unless I playet on my PC as it was built specialy for PC's.
Can you get anything up on it from your PC at all ?
yah I have windows up and all the none internet programs work fine.

yah, sorry I'm not thinking straight, I could've worded it better.
youll burn out ur projector if u hook it up like that. presentation projectors are not made for constantly changing images. especially fps games. So unless ur projector manual says its ok to use it for a tv then dont do it.

Now back to your problem
Lets try System restore First See if that helps
Click
Start > All Programs > Accsessories > System Tools > System restore > Restore My Computer to erlyer time. Take it back say Few days or week, when you know you had everything working fine, and no you dident have probs. your pc will shut down it will save files and make backups it will restart and see if you have internet connection then.
also try this
Open up Internet browser go
Tools > Internet options>
1st In general tab delite your cookies delite files ( tick box where it ses delite all offline conect ) Hit ok Hit apply now go to
Advanced in same window hit restore defoults hit ok close that window
also try this
Click start
click Set program acsess and defaults change it to Microsoft windows Hit apply or ok
also who is your internet prowider ?
try reseting Modems If you want know how let me know who is internet prowider and I will find you the info you need reseting Modem
if its AOL make sure u loged as AOL sumthimes likes to remove your password to internet connection

well i'm ran threw insight right now I always hated aol because the MESS with ur REGISTRy so badlol. sorry had bad experience with aol lol.
My computer isn't down there right now but I will try it either tonight or tommorow. If I can't get a hardwire ran threw it I can always go wireless because I bought a wireless G router so my dad can use his labtop on it when ever he decides to get one.
How is wireless played with fps ? I heard it wasn't so good. Thanks for ur help. I'll either pm u using the pm box thingy or just post back here. Thanks for ur help again.
