Alice in Wonderland - 8/10
...for an effects film. Thank god I didn't see it in 3d, because even in 2d I could tell that they were just throwing shit at the screen for the wow factor. But aside from that banality, the effects and sets WERE good. The Red Queen's castle looked pretty nifty, and the White Queen's castle reminded me of the Disney one.

I watched this during the day with a small screen and bad audio. But the feeling of claustrophobia was well done. But the "Crawlers" SUCKKKKEDDDDD massive balls it was a GORE/COMEDY not a HORROR movie. Seriously what did I waste my time on?

Charming, that´s what it was. I kinda saw the twist with his girl coming though. Nevertheless, it entertained quite well. Was afraid 2 hours would get boring but it did not.

Premature rating on my part, but predecessor Hogfather still gets a 10/10 by my estimation. Maybe things will come together when I watch the last part of Colour, but it got disjointed for awhile. I know, I know, Discworld.

What, like American McGee's Alice? Or even Disney's? I liked both of those too. Burton's Alice was essentially a showcase for 3d. There's nothing wrong with that, and we all went into it knowing that it would have very little to do with the book.Bertster7 wrote:

Its really weird. Really. And it starts so damn slow, I played Plants versus Zombies while watching it in the beginning. After the first 30 min though, something changes and it really grabs your attention. Plan on finishing it today if all goes well. I´m curious how it ends.
