Beware the road rules. They're not strict, but they have some unique rules (downtown montreal). If you speak French, that's good, though many people are bilingual. If you go near people and hear them speaking French, odds are, ask them a question in english, and they'll be able to help you. The people are nice, though make sure you have someone you know who is bilingual nearby, just in case.
