corsair 620hx psu
x25m 80gb ssd
8400gs & 8800gts
windows 7 x64

would a reformat help? it used to boot in like 20-30 secs, but now its taking a minute or more. it has only been a month at the most that ive even had this current windows install

Basically it optimises your drive and other shit I don't understand.


You might need to do a firmware update on your SSD before it will work though. Depends on when you bought the drive. It's the G2 version right?

so i just burn that iso and boot to it?

will i have to reformat, or will my current install be ok?

i did everything that toolbox had to offer. everything seems fine

Yeah, burn the ISO to disk, boot to disc, installs in 2mins, done.


I didn't have any problems at all, doesn't change any files I'd do a backup of important stuff just to be safe.


Then when you've updated the firmware install the toolbox. Launch that and you will see all your drives, select the SSD, click "Intel SSD Management Tools" then just click "run" and it will run the optimizer.


Hopefully that'll do some good. It recommends that you do it daily. I do it every few and it still boots <20secs.

i tried booting to that disc earlier, but it didnt work. some a: prompt came up
