Youtube videos jerky in chrome

I have a problem that's started up where some videos in chrome are jerky, but the audio is fine.
I tried the same videos on an old work computer with an ancient version of flash and they work fine.

Currently running the latest version of both flash and chrome. Really don't have any ideas on this one, and can't find a fix anywhere (I'm kinda hungover so my brain isn't work the best right now though lol).

Any ideas on a fix?

Reinstall Flash and Chrome.

Thanks alexb, but I tried doing as you suggested and it didn't work.

I might have to switch back to the older version of flash, if I can get my head around doing it lol.

Filehippo only seems to have version 10. I can't seem to find the last version of 9 anywhere.

I just installed Chrome and I'm running the latest Flash - I'm getting no lag in YouTube. Do you have the latest video drivers installed?

Ahh, I was told there was a new one released about a week or so ago.

I just uninstall the old ones and then reinstall the new, yeah?

That should work, but I always uninstall them, boot into safe mode and use Driver Sweeper (free), and reboot into Windows and install the latest just to be safe.

Hey, it seems to have worked!

Only now I don't have Catalyst anymore. Is it fine to just download and install, or do I have to do something else? Just don't want to have any driver issues.

You can download the Catalyst Suite separately; just go back to the download page of the drivers and find it there.

I'm pretty sure you only downloaded the "Driver Only" package.

Weird. In msconfig the box is checked for catalyst on boot up, yet it doesn't appear, and I can't even open it up with the start menu, even tried running as admin.

Try redownloading the full package of 10.6 and performing the same steps you did earlier.
