BF2S Forums There are 7 kits... why arent there 7 slots in a squad?

I don't have any problem with this at all.

After all, a squad made up of one of each of the kits would be fairly rubbish.  What the hell do you want a sniper hanging around with front-line troops like Assault for?  Medics and Engineers are rarely of much use to one another, since engineers spend most of their time in vehicles, and don't really need much medical attention, while medics need to be on the ground to revive troopers, so don't need much repairing.

Squads should be more specialised.  Make a small squad with 2-3 snipers in it, and go sniping.  Anti-tankers are weak against armour on their own, but a squad of 3 AT troopers will devastate enemy armour.  For a mixed squad, you need a couple of assault guys, a support guy and a medic, then maybe a spec-ops to deal with armour.  Thats a damn fine flag-capping team right there.

Anyway, my point is that squads should be formed to do jobs, and a squad with one of every kit in it would be mediocre at everything, rather than good at a specific role.

because god hates you... no but seriouisly, if squads were any bigger, flags would stand no chance.

i think that should be up the squads.. if u have 7 squads, one for each kit that would be sweet. all the engineers rapairing everything and 6 AT guys would be insane for anything to get through, and all the medics runing everywhere to revive everyone and each other it would be awesome...

actually, it does. in most 64 player servers you get at least one, usually two, and on a rare occasion, three full squads

Sniper is only useless if you are useless at it

When I jump in a server first thing I do is make a squad, then I pick the kit I have the least time on. From there I head for the nearest flag to cap, people will start joining my squad. 90% of the time I dont even know who's in my squad or where they are, Ill check the minimap and see green dots, and we are spread so far apart.
Then you get something like this "Anyone have a mic?"
I respond "Huh?"
He chirps in again "Hey I see this guy playin sniper trying to cap the flag, what a dumbass"
I respond "Huh?"

I respond "So you saw him kill me?"

So for the rest of the round anytime someone requests orders, help, or spottings. I respond with quotes from the Three Stooges.
"Hey I need a Medic"
I respond "Moe's the leader"
"I need ammo"
I respond "Why you"
"Defend this position"
I respond "Oh a wise guy eh?"

Hmm... I know almost everyone in that squad. But mostly onehitterkip. Does Artic squad have X-fire?(spedygamerserver-ians know what I am talking about, )
