OK so i got this problem regarding the patch. Whn i install the patch, the game jst wont run on my pc. So Im jst stuck here with the original. Can someone help me out? Am missing lots of action out there!! Thx!
try reinstalling, and then re-applying the patch. make sure you use the whole full patch when you're doing this..unless you really want to use the incrementals.
Ugh, din help either. Cuz whn i installed, teh game jst wont work, so i have to uninstall and reinstall the whole thing agn. So once agn, whn i installed the patch, the same thing occurs.
How far do u get when starting the game and do u get any error messages ?

Have you installed the WHOLE patch and not the little upgrade version? Just my 2 cents

IM referring to patch 1.21. Nw after i installed the game, i gave it a run before i installed the patch. And yes its the full version, the whole patch. And i din get very far at all, in fact not at all. After installing the patch, i tried running the game by the shortcut, and tru the .exe file, and nothing happens. the whole thing jst sits there, nothing.
wait wait..so you're installing 1.21 (full) from 1.0? or you're installing FROM 1.21 to something? and you DID try reinstalling right..just to be clear.
OK it goes like this. i installed the patch (BF2 V1.21 full) directly to my 1.0 version. Once installed, the game wont run. Like nothing happens, no error messages or anything at all. Do u think its about the way i installed it??? How do u installed it then? I did mine by installing it 1st, gave the game a run to make sure its working fine, then installing the patch and the private server patchbefore giving it another run. Also tried running the game (with the v1.21patch installed) before installing the private server patch. Both ways also produced the same results.

*If u have renamed your bf2.exe u need to name it back to original before patching.

Hi agn, I think the problem im facing is similar to Tiuk's "Game wont launch" thread where he gets a black screen with no error message before being kicked back to the desktop. (Link : http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=22769) Thing is im already using LCD screen on 60 htz. Wht else is not right ? How do u open the game in windowed mode to make the error message appear? thx!

To play Battlefield 2 in a window, right click your Battlefield 2 shortcut. In the Target section, change "+ fullscreen 1" to "+ fullscreen 0" You will get a windowed version of the game.

Hmm..tried tht too. No error messages popping out however. In fact i think i tried almost everything possible tht i found searching for clues. From running it in a window, reconfiguring the video.con file, reconfiguring my resolution and refresh rate, reupdating my direct X files, updating my driver, etc etc. Now im totally clueless and im on the verge of giving up on the patch. Lost count of the number of times i installed and uninstalled the game yesterday.
