is an amazing movie, just watched it.

Are you talking about Sin City or Crash?mtb0minime wrote:
This is a wonderfully descriptive post, though it failed to mention the egregiously one-dimensional characters.
well that's just like, your opinion manmtb0minime wrote:
Sorry Hurricane, but from now on, your opinion on film is invalid.
Crash was the biggest overrated piece of trash ever created (moreso than Avatar). Crash had nothing special about it except the gimmick of how LA has a population of 5 people, which attracted a whole lot of morons and was used ineffectively. I just can't believe people are still talking about this movie. It's definitely one of the worst I've ever seen. While the message behind it might have been a good start, it continually rammed ideas down everyone's throats instead of being subtle (and thus, effective). I think that's why so many people enjoyed it because the message finally got pushed through people's brains and it wasn't a movie you had to think about, yet felt so pompous and wanted you to think about it so much.
For those of you who haven't heard of it or seen it yet and are planning to... If you're looking to kill a few hours in the same way that you would by watching a Michael Bay Transformers movie, then this will be right up your alley. If you are somewhat remotely interested in film and want something to watch, appreciate, think about, and have discussions about, then pass this up; otherwise you will deeply regret watching this.
Haven't seen it in years, so I was bound to miss somethingnukchebi0 wrote:

Yes, I know. And believe me, most of the time I can let it go if someone likes a movie I don't, and has a different opinion than mine. I can respect that.Hurricane2k9 wrote:

But yes, the character development is so pathetic. They're all one-sided until the very end when everyone appears to change out of nowhere and not for any real reason. The film pulls the rug out from under you just for the sake of doing so, and then laughs in the audience's face. I think that's why so many people thought it was so "powerful". The audience does not have a chance to think about things or draw their own conclusions on their own accord. Everything in the movie happens for the sake of happening and does not feel organic or natural at all. There's no one to root for, it's impossible to sympathize with any of the characters. Really, it's just an extremely bad effort that has garnered so much attention for God knows why. It's like a high-school film student made this with the production budget of Avatar. It shouldn't have happened.
