Okay I know some rough comments will come this way, not exactly flammage but rough nonetheless.

This is in no way an attempt to give people another way to effortlessly stat-pad their way through the ranks, but a general notice to the community that this is happening out there.

I'd say EA did a pleasantly good job on pressing down on statpadders, by putting the resupply time limits and the like, along with their Worst Enemy, etc, statisitics. Often the only kind of statpadding that goes relatively undetected is a flipped-boat repairing process, which still itself is mind-numbingly slow and thus not as effective as a point-gainer, but rather a specific engineer badge grabber (which really is no big deal in my mind as one expert badge doesn't help you much if at all). Ammo statpadders have since pretty much been vanquished, and the 3-man kill/revive process is easily caught and statpadders, are, no matter how unlikely it seems, getting reset.

However, just the other day I came upon statpadding of a new kind, almost ingenious method, that I nearly admire whoever thought of it. Sharqi 32. It really only caught my eye when there was someone with a score of 145 teamwork, and nothing more, on the other team. So I thought instantly, statpadder. Looking on my team roster, no one has any massive kill registers, even the whole team's kills don't add up to enough. Since I was the only one on the server who even knew what the hell statpadding is, I had to investigate myself. I analyzed the top scores after the round, noticing that he had got around 60 resupply points and another 85 driver points. Confusing, I thought to myself.

So come next round, I join the other team. I see that my suspect is in Squad Bravo, so I join in and check out the location of everyone. All spawning at the lower MEC base, and not running for the empty chopper, but for the boat. I quickly spawned as a sniper and hopped in just as they left. Now a different guy was piloting the boat, another man in the squad.... a squad of 5 support players and me, the sniper. So they drive out into the middle of nowhere, four move into the middle slots of the boat and start chucking greandes into the ocean. And of course the ammo comes out and slowly their process starts up and within minutes it's going at full efficiency, each of them getting a point every 15 or so seconds, and the driver getting a driver ability assist point every 4 seconds.

So, nothing I can do to stop them as a teammate, so i get myself killed and switch teams to kill them. Pleasantly enough, they're in a still boat, a perfect target for an AT. I take them out twice, without even seeing them, judging from my commander's spotting. Just shoot and see the rocket disappear, then a bunch of kills pops up. Easy way to redeem my terrible K/D and score that round.

Anyway, just to let you know that this is happening out there, and keep your eyes peeled for it.

DO NOT use this to your PERSONAL advantage, someone WILL spot you and report you. You can count on it.

I apologize in advance if this was a terrible choice, but I'm hoping in assumption that the majority of the BF2S community is mature enough to handle this the right way.

Good reportage there. That's quite a clever method really... I guess you could also do that with a chopper, go up as high as possible and spam grenades.

Normaly I hate these topics with a passion, since your ruining peoples lifes realy, but I found this one quite ammusing, I would not care much if they were doing this to get from one place to another and get some cool explosions, but not to farm amo, thats pretty lame I guess. I like when you Srawed them into the ocean floor, that was funny, also it was on Sharqi, im sure people forgot that map even had boats lol.

ANd to those of you who says that people who read this will now go and do this, shouldn't they be doing this already if they wanted to get points that earnestly?

Nice job finding these losers +1

I saw 2 guys doing something like that on a Ghost Town server. Support guy was sitting on a ladder and his clan friend was standing next to the ladder throwing nades. He ended the round with about 40 some ammo points and huge team points. I have some screenies at home but haven't got around to posting them.

So,is this still statspadding as long as you just do it until you reach where you wanted to go and then proceed fighting and capping flags?

I mean in your case it's obviously statspadding, just driving off to nowhere to calmly keep farming, but if people are just normally fighting who says they are not allowed to throw grenades overboard when they just feel like it?

The manual actually stresses that you get points when somebody in the vehicle heals or resupplies - so it's kind of encouraged to help your friends to get points - i.e. nadespamming.
And as the supply guy you have the perfect excuse, you just wanted to get from point a to b and it's not your fault when the other guys in the chopper/boat/transport nadespam or just fire in the air.

And if you look at the screenshots, these are not people from the same clan, looks like they found each other and decided to pad a little right on the spot.....

But somehow I'm not sure what to think about the whole issue,if you do that while fighting it's not really statspadding to me,this little fishing trip surely is.

So technnically if someone did this from a full BH over say, mashtuur. then it wouldent be statpadding as it sounds like some legitimate tactics to me.

I honestly think you should leave it to server admins to decide to ban them indefinately, you ever heard of word snitch ? My friend that proffession leads to nothing but trouble. It would work much better if you sent those to server admins remember there's only a certain number of servers they can pad on the more they get banned @ the sooner they will decide to quit. After all what's the point if you can play only on a certain number of servers

these thai servers seem to have stat padders and no admin.
i had an experience on a thai server once on karkand,
2 guys would get into 2 vodniks/ hmmvee and vdrive to some obscure location.
they are on opposite teams mind you.
they then proceed to shoot each other's vehicle.... then
they hop into the back of their respective vehicles to repair.
once repaired, they proceed to shoot each other's vodnik/hmmvee again..
rinse & repeat.
as commander i felt it was my duty to add to their fun, additional arty shells to their little party.
damn thai servers...

If only I could speak the same language the admins do.

Really? I've played on Thai Servers since i started (pretty much the ONLY servers) and stat-padders, glitchers, etc are rare.

They have admin, and I know for a fact that two of the admin's daughters are hookers. Quite successful ones, may I add. Fact.
