I don't like cheap psu's, and no matter how much flaming I'll take for it, I'll never like cheap psu's. 5770 was my first choice, but I decided to cut it back to drop the price. My real recommendation would be for him to wait for more cash.Finray wrote:
$150 for a PSU? 650W? Wow, overkill. Swap the 4770 for a 5770 and get this.
So you'd rather spend way too much than get a PSU which is more than enough wattage from a renowned company with an 80+ certificate?unnamednewbie13 wrote:

See above edit. It's not open to argument.Finray wrote:

There's absolutely no need for the PSU you posted, I do agree with you that cheap PSUs aren't worth buying, but the one I posted is far above the likes of this for example.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

edit: sure, that's fine, but you failed to note my CBA disclaimer; /misread on my part
I'd recommend this, especially for gaming. If you want high/maximum visuals and a good frame rate in today's game, you'll need more money. Unless you're fine with lower quality visuals, the system that newbie listed would run today's games at medium and still get decent frame rates.unnamednewbie13 wrote:
