I only play EA UK 64 public servers, not always an admin there, never been kicked by one. The only rules on load up state, No Tk'ing, bad or rasict language. I play Clean Sweep a bit due to the rotation of Kubra, Mashtuur, Clean Sweep, Sharqui, Songhau, Karkand. That will last my evening of gaming, once in a server I won't log out until Karkand ends or i get dc'd. I like those maps and gain good points from them.

I have mainly been MEC for a few months now as Im after the MEC Medal (schimiter, excuse spelling).

Clean Sweep loads, I spawn at MEC airfield, get asap to the chopper as Spec Op's. Take the fat chopper up in the air, usually on my own (yes I hit "c" to see if anyone wants a lift) and accend to 300m/ft. I make my way over to the USA base, chute out over the APC's, hitting the chute at the very last moment of impact with the ground, thus not being seen. I hit 5 (as to have c4 ready) and then enter an APC (usually 1 left to take).

Drive straight towards where boats spawn, take a sharp left, exit APC n lay 3 c4 packs on uav shed, hit 5 (trigger ready), enter APC drive 20m away, exit, trigger, Booom. "Points for destroying enemy assets".

I ignore the radar and head towards the Blackhawk which is just before the 2 runways. I have 2 packs left and wish to take out 1 arty with it. However, I never make it due to enemies shooting shit out my APC, heck they even try and take me out with the cobra. How rude? In the meantime Im defending myself by shooting shit out of anything, waiting planes, choppers, recenlty spawned soldiers.

Usually by now I get the message "1927, stop base raping you fucktard" or simular. I can't reply to them and say "fuck off and fix ya uav" cos the moment I do, i'll be blown up. My ambition is to reach the arty but how the fuck can I when all the USA are going nuts trying to kill me, as I do with them.

My question is. Am I base raping?

Remember the evedience, I have c4, I have used 3 on uav, I have 2 left for arty and Im genuinly trying to get there. Remeber the server rules aswell. Also remember that I ignore the Radar and decide to keep my 2 remaining packs for 1 arty.

I'll appriciate any mature responce to this but please take no offence if I don't alter mt tactics to "fit in". In my argument I have been blown up before many times whilst waiting on a ship for a chopper space. And in Karkands corridors. Thats Base Raping IMO.

Coincedently, I'll spend all of both rounds doing this and will win comfortably. If I can blow up Cobra's or Bombers in my APC before they even have an enemy in im helping my team hugely.

If the USA would allow me to blow the arty up, I promise not to shhot them as they wait in hangers for planes. LOL lets be serious, that would never happen, so I feel I have every right to kill that guy before he kills me.

As a Special Ops soldier I would say you are allowed to sneak into ennemy mainbases to destroy their assets.

As you said all the USMC waiting for plane and helicopter (instead of moving their ass to cap a flag) are not going to look kindly at you. So you killed them to defend yourself and to reach your goal.

NO for me you are just a guy who wants to help his team and was caught by the ennemy while oidoing this.

Go back and do it again, if you get banned than sorry if it's your favorite server, but the admins are retards.

You are special forces...you are after their assets.....you are shooting the enemy....nothing wrong with that imo. If you were sitting up on a mountain somewhere sniping at them, that might be considered base rape. But the game is designed so a special forces guy can get behind the lines and take out the art / radar / command center....and that is what you are doing. If a couple people get wasted in the process, so be it!

Yeah, firstly, only use 2 C4 packs on assets, should be enough...

This is one of the hazy ones. You're not really baseraping, since you're Spec-Ops there to blow up assets. But it could easily be taken for it, since you've grabbed an APC (the infantry-slaughter-machine of choice for many base- and spawn-rapers). My advice to Spec-Ops when they're taking out assets is to play it as Spec-Ops are meant to, that is, keep as stealthy as possible.

Once you're there, put 2 C4 on the UAV, then 2 on the Radar, then one on an Arty piece. Retreat somewhere out of the way and blow them up, then radio for a supply crate (well clear of enemy assets) and restock on C4 to finish off the other arty pieces. (Or, wait for the enemy commander to drop a supply crate beside his UAV shack, steal his C4, blow up the supply with a grenade, and continue demolishing stuff).

Driving around in a couple of tons of armour is likely to attract attention, which you don't want if you're on an asset-destruction mission. If you get spotted, you'll be attacked, and if you have to defend yourself you're in danger of being kicked for base-rape. That's the risk of those fun Spec-Ops missions, I guess...

All sounds perfectly reasonable to me - I got moaned at for something similar recently, visited a base with C4 and then waited to see if the commander would drop a crate.... he did so I restocked and blew them again. Then I moved to a quiet location and repeated this 3 or 4 times, no idea why they didn't hunt me down instead of moaning.

Anyway I'd give you a +1 but I lack the karma to do so - consider a virtual portion sent.

Ok within 15/20 minutes you have all helped to keep my concsence clear, yeah as if I felt guilty lol. I suppose as any other kit in a gentlemans agreement, it isn't on. One of the things I bang on about with BF2 is you are forever learning, or at least the opportunity is there to. Today I have learned about 2packs. (no not that one r.i.p shakuur). Using two packs of c4 will help me destroy other assets.

Even though I mention I've been bombed on airfields whilst waiting for a space on a BH, I've never typed anything on screen @ the opposistion. Im trying not to go down the path of "its a game vs its a war vs it a war game" but surley if you get killed thats your fault regardless of how, other than TK'ers. To change the subject slightly, im so glad I dont have issues with "noobs" etc who stand in front of your plane making you tk them, as I dont fly very well. Certanly not a plane.

So for now, this evening, when I get on, if I get on, I will be spotted falling out from 300 ft/m over USA Base CL SWP and I apolagise now to any USA team. I dont apolagise for killing you before you killed me, Im saying sorry for not replying to your "less than warm welcome". I mean how am I supposed to get back over next time If Im typing on screen trying to make sence as to my actions. We'll make a deal, "you fuck off and fix ya UAV" (for when I arrive) and i'll continue to fly over. I mean it's not as if your having a good game stuck over there dodging Base Raping Bombers now is it. Perhaps they should be grateful eh? If it wasn't for me you wouldnt have any kills or points.

If you're driving your APC around on the runway blowing up the planes/choppers and killing everyone as they spawn in...baseraping maybe. If you have a destination like arty or other assets and you take out any threats on the way...a man with a mission. Baseraping and spawn raping (imo) is sitting just outside a flag area to where you are not capping it, and killing all enemies as they spawn. At the same time though, I was sitting outside a flag area in an APC killing enemies and I got kicked for spawn raping, but it was MY flag. I was defending my flag, and had even been ordered to do so by my commander. I think a couple of the guys I killed were admins so go figure, but when I got kicked it said "You have been kicked for 1 minute(s) for spawn raping." I waited the one minute, got back on the server and I asked why I got kicked. They said for spawn raping. I said I was killing enemies in a base that my team was in control of...defending my flag. So if it was my flag, how could I possibly be spawn raping seeing as how there is no way for the enemy to spawn there? Then they said "Troublemakers will be banned." I translated that as "You killed us too many times and we didn't like it so we kicked you without a good reason and now we can't give you an explanation for what we did."

In short, I say go on with your bad self but don't be surprised if you get kicked. As for the moaners, wait till you're dead and tell them to quit crying, Spec Ops is allowed to attack enemy main bases...snipers usually are too.

I guess Pwning an admin and his team is also a bannable offence. Happened to me twice, banned once. I can't play on a certain Iron Gator server because apparently i was getting too many kills in the chopper. Some of which was an admin. Pretty soon it comes up "U have been BANNED" i was like wtf? The other was just a boot for no aparent reason. the message said "kicked for being a tank whore"

Baseraping for me is when a jet bombs the Main Base (uncap) over and over again. You're not baseraping in my opinion.
And there's often a reason for baserape.
The team sucks and can't cap flags or that all the 32 players want to fly the same jet or helo.
