Now this is some serious memory

LAS VEGAS (January 8, 2007) – Corsair®, a worldwide leader in high performance computer products, today unveiled
the new TWIN2X2048-10000C5DF DOMINATOR™ memory kits. Designed for overclocking and achieving the highest
frequencies in mind, the TWIN2X2048-10000C5DF DOMINATOR is rated and tested at a frequency of 1250MHz, thus
making it the world’s highest frequency production ready memory. Specially designed for NVIDIA® nForce™ 680 SLI™

media and communications (MCP)-based motherboards, the new DOMINATOR extends Corsairs leadership in enthusiast
memory.
As a part of the CES live demonstrations, Corsair has partnered with Charles Wirth – world renowned extreme
overclocker known as Fugger and the owner of the popular web site Xtremesystems – to host an overclocking workshop
where world records are expected to be re-written with the new TWIN2X2048-10000C5DF DOMINATOR.
“DDR2 memory performance is at its prime thank to the latest Corsair screening process and our DHX technology.
Bringing production-ready PC10000 2GB kits to market ahead of the introduction of DDR3 is an exceptional
achievement,” commented John Beekley, VP of Applications Engineering at Corsair. “The most exciting news about the
release is that we will begin shipping these kits soon after the show. Consumers can benefit from the memory technology
breakthrough immediately and enjoy an enhanced PC experience.”
The TWIN2X2048-10000C5DF DOMINATOR is the newest member of the DOMINATOR family designed to unleash the
performance of the NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI-based platform. Each module of memory is built to Corsair’s legendary
quality and reliability standards. Every RAM is highly scrutinized and must pass Corsair’s aggressive speed screening
process. The TWIN2X2048-10000C5DF DOMINATOR is certified by NVIDIA as SLI-Ready Memory, joining the NVIDIA
SLI technology ecosystem to provide a building foundation for an ultimate performance PC.
All DOMINATOR memory modules feature Enhanced Performance Profiles (EPP), co-developed by NVIDIA and Corsair.
This new open standard enhances the Serial Presence Detect (SPD), thus simplifying overclocking for beginners and
providing unparalleled control for experts
In order to protect components when overclocking, Corsair engineers have developed a unique design that maximizes
heat dissipation, even in the most extremely overclocked DDR2 modules. Called Dual-path Heat Xchange (DHX™)
technology, this innovative quad-layer heat sink design provides maximum thermal dissipation. With DHX technology,
heat is dissipated through two paths - the leads of the BGA chips into the printed circuit board (PCB) and the back of the
BGA packages into the high-performance extruded aluminum heat sinks. Modules can be cooled further using Corsair’s
DOMINATOR Airflow Fans included within each kit. These fans offer direct airflow to the DOMINATOR modules for
increased thermal dissipation and active heat transfer away from the module. The results of recent benchmarks speak for
themselves: A DOMINATOR heat sink assembly, using DHX technology and the addition of the Airflow fan, allowed a
Corsair module to reach reliable performance at PC10560 or 1320MHz at CAS 5 settings.
TWIN2X2048-10000C5DF DOMINATOR Features:
• Tested as matched pairs at guaranteed speed of 1250 MHz
• Latency Timings: 5-5-5-15-2T
• Memory voltage: 2.4V

Wow! I want some. I bet it's ludicrously overpriced.

1320MHz, now that would be nice.

me = noob. This means what exactly? Increased frequency = more speed?

More FSB overclocking!

FSB overclocks are better because it makes the CPU do more work per cycle. Multiplier only overclocks are for noobs.
