Like the title says. Go.
$700 dollars is a lot for a netbook, just go for a brand name with high specs at the top of your budget.
dude, dont get a netbook. get a $1k macbook pro or just a regular $600 lenovo
I think Nokia's mininote is in that price area. Get that, it's the sturdiest mini-laptop ever conceived.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Lenovo's products aren't that good. I should know, I've been using this one for three years now.ig wrote:

i had 2. they were both really nice. i also had a dell that was pretty nice. netbooks are just plain shit, and i have no clue why anyone would want one
For their intended purpose theyre great, and compared to 15" laptops, they weigh nothing and take up no space. Also, cheap cheap cheap
Im rockin an Asus 1005PE, loving it so far, was about $380 on newegg. Battery life is really good, I can type faster on its keyboard than my desktop, screen is pretty good unless you want to do serious photo editing (tried, it sort of worked), and relatively thin

I can't help but wonder what their products you have been using, because my T400 is damn excellent.some_random_panda wrote:

I just got an Acer netbook.
model: 1810TZ
Got from newegg for 480 bucks.
4gb ram, 1.3ghz dual core cpu (Pentium, not a great cpu, its decent), 320gb hdd.
Windows 7 installed. I installed my own copy because Acer computers come bloated with crap.
It has a pretty good battery charge. (up to 7 hours)
I just wanted something lightweight with good battery charge. I didn't like lugging around my laptop with my text books.
