Somebody jumped in the TOW at the south base and proceeded to guesstimate a shot at the MEC heli. luckily enough, he landed a shot right as we were taking off, after firing 3-4 times unsuccessfully.
My brother's clan spent an hour and a half going over how to hit:
MEC chopper from hotel
USMC chopper from hotel
USMC chopper from Surveillance post.
Worked quite well actually.

There is a stats problem in BF2 that may also be the cause of these kills. Indeed, the commander might have hit you with a TOW/HJ-8 from far away (either by skill or luck), but it can appear that any player gets you from far away .... IF you get killed with a claymore or AT mine while the player is mounted in a TOW/HJ-8, the kill will be registerd as TOW/HJ-8 and not claymore/AT mine (I've noticed this frequently, since I tend to lay a lot of mines and deploy a lot of claymores).gunpiss wrote:

I can also throw a grenade at someone, immediately jump in the TOW without firing it, and should the grenade kill the enemy, it will show up as
me [TOW] enemy rather than me[Hand Grenade] enemy
Just another software problem with Battlefield 2 that can drive you nuts ...
Same deal happened to me on Karkand today. I was in a humve going past the burning care by the hotel. Soon as I rounded the corner... BOOM, tow killed me. I know for a fact that a TOW does not have access to that spot either.
