Are they really that annoying? I mean I drive a lot for uni and work and I don't really notice or feel them on my body, so i don't mind them at all.
But then why every single one of my friends don't want to wear them when they get in my car? Maybe its just an Italian thing, i don't know.
Every time i have to tell my friends "Do you hear that fucking PING PING PING? Yeah that noise goes away when you pull that belt and click it into that red thing next to you".
Anybody else feel the same way?

Seatbelts don't bother me in the least. Most serious car accident I've been in probably would've only given me a broken nose from hitting my face on the seat in front of me if I wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

As for whether or not other people wear their seatbelts, well... For one, around here it's illegal to not wear one, and as far as I know, the driver will be ticketed if one of his passengers isn't wearing a seatbelt. I'd rather not be responsible for someone's death, but if they don't want to wear a seatbelt, then it's their issue. I'm an unsympathetic bastard who doesn't feel sorry when someone gets what they deserve for doing something stupid.

What's the obsession with seatbelts here lately? Sometimes I wear one, sometimes I forget and sometimes I just plain cba when going a short journey. Who cares what anyone else does? I know people that have driven drunk a hundred times and been fine and don't feel the need to make a thread.

Personal option. Let's all move on.

Its illegal in Italy to but you know how Italy is..the police does the job 50% of the time.
But the thing is the cars now days have that alarm noise thing that goes off when you don't wear the seatbelts and i don't know how people cannot notice it.

yeah our Nissan van just dings a few times then stops.
We've got an old beat-up Buick... ugh. I have to put my seatbelt on before I even put the keys in the ignition or else that fucking thing won't shut up. They had to have recorded Jim Carry from Dumb & Dumber doing the most annoying sound in the world, then went back in time when they created the car and put it in there.

I'm quite surprised people can forget or choose not to wear one. It's pure conditioning for me, since I've been putting one on every time I entered a car for the past 16 or so years. I'm more likely to forget to put on my glasses before driving than to not put on the seat belt. It's no big hassle at all.

Same here, I am in the same boat. My friends don't put on the seat belt when one of them sit in the passenger side. The Seat Belt Warning "ping" annoys me and I remind who ever sits on the passenger side but it happens all the time. Can't teach em when they dont want to learn so I gave up on the stupid fooks....let them fly out of the window for all i care.

Honestly I don't see how anyone could not put on a seatbelt. It's become an instinct, a habit. I have to make a conscious effort to not put it on. I feel naked without it.
