lol, no.
you really don't know what you're talking about.
"they"? deadmau5 is one guy - a very shitty, boring, cookie-cutter producer.
made his name being able to DJ very well and play good sets... but that has nothing to do with his music; a DJ does not spin their own songs.
every single post-result for deadmau5 either turns up a teasing-discussion about me having the LP before the actual fans
or calling his bland, mindless and uninventive productions what they are: boring.

who reads the box?
I saw someone describe Deadmau5 as "electronic music for people who don't like electronic music." I d . What kind of music is he anyway? Some sort of house electro stuff? Seeing non-electronic listeners spam his name all over facebook, and then seeing people link to pics from his facebook of him hanging out with Tommy Lee is more than enough to keep away.
also deadmau5 is one guy.
i do niggs...Nic wrote:

i may yell like gordon ramsey but i cant cook like him
he's produced a lot of different styles... normally the flavor-of-the-month.
he IS the exact sort of stuff a non-electronic fan would like and namedrop with the pretense of really liking 'x' genre.
as i said, a few years ago he was on the club-circuit making his name as a very decent DJ...
then he started releasing his own LP's and interest just died away in electronic circles.

Crystal Castles on the other hand...
think that's funny... earlier he basically told me he's based his entire next few years of life choices off the anecdotal 'evidence' he heard that microsoft developers get paid $150k. i was like ya, so totally everyone going to study computing at a no-entry-requirement higher-education state school college is going to work for microsoft with their little diploma certificate. i suggested downscaling his aspirations and doing law cause, after all, all those city lawyers make big-bucks too and im sure a quick-and-easy qualification in law would shoot him straight to the top of that career ladder as well.11 Bravo wrote:

guy is so clueless and naive about... nearly everything. now he's just trying (too hard) and failing to snipe me and call me out on things he doesn't even have a clue about. just cause i probably hurt his little feelings with his naive dreams and impressions.
typical scot.

????
well I went to go see him live, and it was exciting stuff.
His sets aren't "sets" though, he produces all that shit on the fly (near enough), and it makes for a sick sound that can't really be re-produced. For one I think he deserves a lot of respect, he wasn't really brought up in the club scene like most DJs.
Meh, back *to my shitty beers.
