Since I bought BF2 in Dec. Every time I played, it ran smooth as a babys back side. now, sinced I patched, its laggy as hell. Nothing changed from then till now. the only difference is that I patched.

I used to run a 10-20 ping, now I'm 80+ all the time!?!?

any help or similar instances?!

That's what happened to a lot of people, just kinda have to wait, and if you arent up to date with the latest patch, install it.

Hmmm, do you have a good Video card? I would also see if uninstalling and re-installing helps.

I really don't want to go that far.
the onlything that changed was the patch. I just don't understand how a patch would cause me to lag. nothing else changed.

Try defraging, especially if you do a lot of other things on your comp

I personally didn't notice any change in either screen lag, or connection lag with any of the patches. However I am running a fairly decent system and I'm good at keeping it clean. As some have suggested, try completely uninstalling it, reinstalling and repatching. Might help. Others also suggest manually updating PB incase it's causing you grief.
