If that is what people have been saying all along, why would you say that it was only just admitted?Uzique wrote:
erm no, straight-logic suits me just fine, thank you very much.
myself saying: "...end up admitting that RS isn't actually so-great for more than the 'casual pirate"
does not equalthe straight logical implication of my statement is that RS is only great for the casual pirate; and that that, evidently, is all anyone has asserted.(implying)- that somebody said that RS was great for anything but.
i have never accused any of you of exalting RS to 'da best!' status - nor have any of my statements, logically, implied that.
stop arguing pointlessly over nothing
Perhaps to cover up your own pointless arguing. Wow, to hear that coming from you, heh.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
