j.k. rowling grew up in the exact same small countryside forest area... and based many of her forest-scenes in the harry potter books on experiences/descriptions of the forest where i live. she was the head girl of a local school whilst growing up here. then, the local town (gloucester) had its cathedral used extensively in the filming of harry potter (the cloisters specifically) for interior-scenes of hogwarts. then, i went to a university which has the most hogwarts-like building perhaps of any university in the world. there is a facebook group suggesting that my uni is secretly hogwarts, with several thousand members.
then, one night i discovered a conspicuously-shaped scar on my forehead... and then i started thinking, communicating and doing everything in really stunted, awkward, simplistic prose.
