I just wanted to make the community aware that there is a new (to me) map glitch similar to the one found on the Dragon Valley map. I logged into the Elite Gaming Warriors Karkand 24/7 server and ran across it. I was initially assigned to the MEC team and afer getting killed while trying to go after enemies spotted between the Square and the Market. After getting killed approx. 8 times in a row by enemies I couldn't see, I team-switched to investigate. Squad two was locked so I could spawn on the glitchers, but was able to get a few sceenies before I was kicked (reason=*being a faggot*). Somehow they had found a way to get under the stairs/road between the Square and the Market.

In the screenies you can pick up on part of the conversation as they noticed me nosing around.  As best as I can recall. it went something like this...

[EGW Laviano395] What do you WAnt NHB?

[EGW Laviano395] What do you want NHB?


[=NHB Darth_Fleder] To find you!


[EGW Laviano395] well ont you cant....lol

=NHB= Darth_Fleder is being banned

the member who gave you that has three acounts, he started two more to give himself +10 karma every 24 hours.
iv banned all his accounts.
lets hope people start to realise that mods can see alot more info than people might think.

How do people find these map exploits?
Do they jump around the map all day in hope of finding something or is it just found by accident and then spread around?


I remember an exploit from No one lives forever,if you jumped on one spot on the map you would fall "under" the whole map and could walk around on a flat surface(basically the map in flat) and shoot people from below...very lame,but in this game it was so easy to get there that you got one mapglitcher every couple of rounds.

And I think there's not much a patch could do against it,only updating the map might help....

well most of the time it's accidental. like the sharqi glitch on the way to the hotel from the boat house where you can fall in to the thing. i ended up in there one day and i was like wtf? i drove a vodnik up there and then decided to climb out and go towards the palm tree chopper flew over head so i went prone and fell in and was like wtf? so i ran out and drove the vod the rest of the way.

i did some map breaking 'officially' for red orchestra when it was in one of its early incarnations, and yes, we did enter an empty map, and hop, jump crawl all around it to find the holes.. but that was on a mod/beta game where such things could be expected.  bf2 maps are much larger, and professionally constructed, so you would expect fewer holes, but i suppose on the flip side is their size and not all could be found.  its not that people would necessarily go LOOKING for holes, but we certainly found lots on RO by entering our clan server and just dicking about... most are found by fluke, then u get an idea as to WHY they are there, after that... they are easier to find.


doesnt make any difference tho as to why a clan would openly flaunt and abuse these exploits when server goes public tho.. we never exploited the ones we knew, and way back, there were MANY.

Anyway, good spotting by Mr. Felder. I hope EA will do something about this - its getting pretty weird.
