Pretty self explanitory, what is your favorite attack chopper to fly?

This is all with a competent co-pilot *cough*=cREE= FatmanX45 *cough cough*, to take into account the havoc's massive cannon too.

I have to say I love the Cobra's extreme maneuverablity and tight missle spread, but the tiny gun can make it hard to take out a little buggy running all over Daqing.

The Havoc, wow, look at that gun, and it does hover very well.

The Z-10, not bad, not a personal favorite, but I have heard of people that prefer it.

The Hind, wow, if anybody actually votes for this, I'm going to take it as a joke without a [i]really[i] good explanation.

I would have to say my favorite is the Longbow! The chopper is an absolute beast. Bigger gun for the gonner, tight missle spread, and the engine in this thing must be massive to give that beast such agility. IMO I think it is really unbalanced. (Shhh...Don't tell EA)

Havoc - t3h über 1337 infantry killer!

I think the Cobra and the Z-10 are the same, correct me if I'm wrong.

I have heard people say that the cobra and z-10 are different, but I have not noticed it. In my experience they handle pretty much identically. That being said, the cobra is my favorite, it has the smallest profile and the rockets are spaced close together. The gun is very effective if the gunner knows how to take lag and movement in account.

Longbow = 14 missiles, somehow.

They are essentially the same on paper, but the Cobra is a lighter, more maneuverable chopper. But you're right, pretty much the same.

And I must say, it sounds like your a gunner and not a pilot. ;)

YES!!!!

I can't believe I didn't remember that, the Longbow and Hind still have 14 missles, as EA has yet to nerf those too, but for now at least, Longbow FTW!

Yup, I can't pilot for crap. I usually stick with the gunner position.

the Mi-28 is a noob chopper. no skillz to killz

im a fan of the Z-10, fast, maneuverable, chain cannon is nice and splashy

edit: and to whoever -1ed me for that, think about it. HE rounds, its an automatic grenade launcher. other choppers require some sort of aiming to kill something.

Who need skillz when you have a "BoOm bOoM Cannon"? Btw. Mi-28 is a teamkilling beast. But I like it.

I say apache over hind.  The apache's missiles fire closely together, making a flyby on any armor a nearly guaranteed kill seeing as all missiles will most likely hit the target.  With the hind however, the missiles are more separated, and u have to learn to aim one side at a time (in my opinion) and to me that's a lil difficult.

Ummm, yeah, that's pretty much the whole point of that chopper, a infantry killer. However, its slower, harder to get away from AA, a worse tv position for the pilot, and not as agile in a chopper duel.

And again, this is for the chopper pilots, not the gunners, we all know how that poll would turn out.

Im gonna say cobra for pilot because its easy to hit enemy choppers with misiles because there closer together, but mi-28 for gunner

cobra is the best...most manuverable and had the closest missile cluster. all the SF choppers fly like the BF1942 DC mod apaches and hinds....i kinda like them, but not as much as the cobra.

The Tiger in EU, personally.

But that wasn't an option.

Ahhh, forgot about that one. Probably because I crashed the first and only two times I got in it on takeoff because the wheel stuck.

Mi28 is good for anti-infantry, but the Cobra is the best for chopper-vs-chopper battles.

Hind is a joke...I remember the first time flying it and I figured DICE was lazy and stole code from DC.

qft

I chose the cobra altho it's tight between that and the apache. In the end the cobra is just more fun to fly while the apache is just a flying deathmobile. Also, you can only fly the apache on 2 maps, which sucks.

They are different but not by much. Cobra is more agile in that it responds quicker but not by too much. The gunner TV screen on the Cobra is also a little closer to the pilots view too. Missle convergence on both is pretty much the same. So overall the Z-10 is the same but slightly worse.

My vote goes to Cobra. It's the most agile and easiest for tv'ing.

I personally love the agility of the Cobra......but who doesn't?  The Z10 isn't much different, so I like it too.

I haven't played much Special Forces until recently......and I LOVE the rockets on the Apache.  Splash damage is great.  It makes killing infantry and armor a dream.  AND THERE IS STILL 14 OF THEM (why the hell did EA take away the 14 rockets on the regular choppers!? WTF!?)  It doesn't handle amazingly, but it is manageable....manageable enough to get kills regularly, avoid obstacles, dogfight other choppers, and ditch AA.  I even had someone on the opposite side the other night tell me that I was "too damn good" in the Apache. Kinda nice to hear considering that NORMALLY when I'm handing someone or someones their asses on a platter I get called a whore or a n00b (never understood that, doesn't n00b imply that I suck?).

The Hind.......yeah.......it's a piece of flaming ass.  The transport helos fly better than that crap factory.

So.....as a pilot......I like the Cobra for maneuverability..........and the Apache for getting kills.

KiL
