Duno, but its a big learning curve. Took me 2 days to get music to play, mostly cuz I was trying to find an install. Not real happy with the program im usin. No library, just a playlist...
rhythmbox is my favorite music player. It comes with ubuntu, but I'm sure you could install it on other distros.
Autodetection

I have my itunes library on my network shared linux box folder "Music",

I've set itunes to auto add music i add to iTunes to that folder.

Rhythmbox auto detects when itunes adds shit and it's all saweeeet
everything i write is a ramble and should not be taken seriously.... seriously.

I hate how technical uni promotes Linux all the time. Mainly because it is free (yes you cheap fuckers), and pretty much force using Linux for most school related work.

Thankfully I can do most from windows PCs via SSH, but still... They pretty much never even mention windows which I find very odd as it is at least as major part of the industry as Linux.

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

oh right, Xfce doesn't use nautilus as the default file browser.

i.e. enter it into the file manager

I was wondering if anyone knew what was causing this problem;

I wacked a secondary display onto my laptop with a vga cable. It couldn't be recognised, so I googled a big, and found this command

Code:

sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart
It restarted my laptop (I think) and up popped my login menu on the second display and I logged it. Desktop popped up on both displays, but disappeared on the second display shortly after popping up.

What drives are you running? Open source or proprietary drivers?
