When people who don't know much about tech stuff and rarely come into the tech section finally do come in and seek help, they're going to see the badges and assume that whoever has one knows exactly what they're talking about and you can trust their word. God forbid one of these tech team members actually seriously instructs someone to put thermal paste on the wrong side of a CPU. Not like it matters though, the badge is now defunct, just like the wiki team, sig team, and bf2s game admins
