I have this problem that whenever I run bf2 again after already playing and quitting, I get a windows error regarding the bf2.exe file, and I must reboot each time to play battlefield. I have reinstalled the game itself many times with no effect. I have reinstalled windows 3 times and each time i do, it fixed the problem for about 2 weeks and then it happens again. Any help here guys?
Can u post up error message please? so we can help u Peace BorisHavazn wrote:

Sure thing, at work right now, as soon as I get home I'll SS it and post
I had that, for me it was the DVD getting too hot and scratching. I had two options, get a new DVD or let the scratch kinda go over time. So here I am, back on BF2 in April, first time since October.
Thats not theerror message I wanted bro Can u run BF2 in screen mode and give me error message from there Please ? as that will tell exacly what's cosing that error message :-) Peace BorisHavazn wrote:

Umm..I am not sure what you mean..if you mean "not fullscreen", it just does the exact same thing.badhq wrote:

He's right badhq - you double-click the BF2 icon and instead of a game you get this message - just like the first window, and if you press tech info you get the second window..
I have the same thing, but it doesn't bother me really so i have never bothered to figure it out..
But if it's the dvd geting too hot you can mount an image and keep your DVD secure in it's box

This has to do with CD-Protection(or DVD) which loads into the df394b.tmp file. Here's a link which may help you out http://www.oatmedia.com/dds_safecast.asp

Thanks for the help guys, I've found a temp fix anyhow, i was using my SF disc when playing BF2, and have now reverted back to using the BF2v disc. Seems to be working fine so far. I dont play SF much anymore so I dont think ill need the disc at this point.
