Basic Anti-Aircraft Badge Help

Ive been trying to get the Basic AA badge for 2 days now.

I have tried the IGLA, the Stinger, the Essex, havent done linebacker yet.

Ive sat in each almost entire rounds. NOTHING IS WORKING!

Help me!

Its an EA offical server. Ive tried to get it on multiple servers.

Dont bother trying in the essex, I'm 99% sure that doesnt count towards any of the AA awards. If it does then its a tad unfair as its by far the most powerfull AA weapon, yet its only possible to use it if you are on the US team.

I got mine on Gulf of oman map using the stingers along the coast shooting down US helis while eating my tea :-)

what you need to do is just chill out in a defense turret on a carrier. Easy as pie of a badge.

Aus heart attack's got it right. mobile AA in stuff like clean sweep, avoid Jets, blast infantry, you'll suprise yourself.

If you don't like to play against The Essex defense system - DONT BASERAPE FFS!!!

BTW - Linebacker is the best AA-gun for me... Kills choppers and lots of infantry easy!!

I just got in an AA and went into the bathroom to take a dump. I turned my volume up on my speakers and about 5-6 minutes later I heard the drum roll. I was like 'sweet, taking a dump and getting rewarded for it'.

Yes, with the currtent stationary AA, you wont hit anything. I was on wake and tried to use the AA from the island for 3 rounds and farthest i got was 5 kills at the most. If you want the AA ribbon, i suggest geting in an AA vicichle and shoot away. I got the ribbon in a matter of minutes.

But funny side story when i was using the stationary AA on wake. I was sitting in it doing my thing, then i was approched by a boat with 3 people in it, i managed to shoot my rockets at it and hit it. I didnt kill it but im glad i didnt, yet. They soon got in a small transport jeep and headed right for me. For a ditch effort, i fired away on the jeep with my AA. 1, 2, away and bam, right on the hood and i got 3 kills =P.

a clanmate of mine got his using the stationary AA on Fushe Pass 64.

UPDATE: I should clarify...he got his AA Ribbon on Fushe 64. Got himself like 15 kills or something. There are no kill reqs for the Basic AA Badge, only time...

I got my AA ribbon and badge pretty easily - I just hopped on a stationary AA site while defending a base. After a few minutes (*of no action*), I noticed that there was no commander, so I applied. While I was commander, I used an arty strike which took out a whole squad of guys. About a minute later, drum rolls and the ribbon. Another 2 minutes, drum rolls and the badge - talk about killing 2 birds with one stone.

I did this the best way.

I went on dalian plant, and was commander, and I just camped in the anti-ar gun all round. To stop from being bored, I would place supply drops infront of me and shoot them out of th air,.

got mine on Chinese stinger (IGLA i think)

Edit: You need to be inside the vehicle for the time indicated...
if you die, it's 15 seconds+how much time u take to get into such a vehicle again goes down from the time

I noticed today that I didnt have the basic AA badge. So i sat in the Stinger and the IGLA for a
good 30 minutes on two separate maps... From what my page says, it is indeed counting the time
that i spend on it, just not giving me the badge. Im not all that worried about it, since I dont need
it until i score another 30,000 pts, but it still is slightly odd. Is this a bug? I did manage to shoot
down a fully loaded blackhawk though, so that was some consolation.

maybe the rounds ended before the required amount of time. But yeah, as heart attack and then others said, mobile aa is the key. its fairly do-able on oilfields, cleansweep, and zatar

I got mine in the Kubra Dam map. Those pesky attack helicopters didn't have a chance against the linebacker. I find that the MEC mobile-AA is better against jets, but marginally.

i sat on the stinger at the USMC gas station base on Mashtuur and i made my badge first try and only encountered one enemy heli. Just hope you don't end up with an enemy commander who is an asshole. i did and he thought it was the funniest thing to arty me like 8 times while i sat there by myself. Needless to say he was so preoccupied with taking me out that his team ended up losing.

Got mine on Kubra Dam, I just drove around mowing down infantry, which is what I got the award for. Then I just followed some some blackhawks and got two of them full. I would go with the MEC mobile AA, its good for the job.
