BF2S Forums knife pistol only servers how they are NOT aloud

18 kills with a pistol in one round is easy. A short blast with your main weapon then switching to pistol to finish them off is cake. 18 kills with a knife in one round is a little bit harder unless you're playing complete noobs (the kind you can run straight at while they're unloading on you, knife them, and walk away missing 2 health points), or you can camp a spawn point.

I could honestly give two shits about knife/pistol only servers or people who stat pad. If someone actually has fun doing it then let them do it. If it breaks the rules and they get caught then they live with the consequences. There's no real way to accurately gauge someone's skill based on badges/ribbons anyways. Most of them are simply earned over time. Kill/death ratio is really the only way to determine how good someone is other than playing against them a lot. I just don't see why people get so pissed off because that guy "isn't earning his badges a legal way!" Shut up, they're not cheating, so who cares. YOU'RE trying to earn the badges through hard work and that's all that matters. I love the stat system for BF2 because I've never played a game with anything like it (new to the BF2 series) and I enjoy working for the rewards because it actually gives me something to play for, and it keeps me interested. Don't get me wrong though, I'll always kick and/or report stat padders because I don't want to play with them. They take up server slots for people who would actually be playing and/or helping my team out because I hate losing.

No, but its very close and I could see how people would think that. The only way that's stat padding is if your friend was the medic that you left alive, and he waited for you to get next to the body that he was going to revive so you could kill it again.

However, taking advantage of a blind medic isn't stat padding. Basically, since the two of you weren't working together, no it's not stat padding.

I'll admit I've played on them before. The funniest thing I've ever seen is the giant pile ups with everyone stabbing at each other while medics keep reviving.
