I am 3/4th done the aviator wiki in the midst of my first week of courses here at UVic. This is pretty much my only free time to work on it, so if you have a contribution, complaint, anything at all, now is the time to get your words in while I have the time to go over it.

I appreciate comments, suggestions, and complaints! I want to get this done and get back to playing BF2. I would appreciate contributions for maps I do not have excessive flight time on.

If you feel you have valid experience and not the spawn raping kind, please get in touch with me and I'd love to hear your views! I have flown every map heli/jet about 10 hours each, and whored Oman and Wake extensively, so don't tell me retarded shit please

No, I will have to try when I have time to see how useful this is! I knew you could map the POV to mouse look and look all around, but rear view is really all you need, but I am curious about mapping control to the joysitck and seeing if it is useful, thanks!

Excellent work. The holding ctrl does in fact work, but you will lose attitude control while you have it held down and your hud will disappear. Basically, not a good idea when you're maneuvering or close to the ground. It does come in handy though, as you can get close to a 270 degree angle of vision without turning or switching views.

I just started flying and consider myself terrible and don't even touch the air assets unless I'm playing offline or if they are left on the ground for too long.

I hope to learn a thing or fifty from this!

You wrote the wiki and you didn't even know that?? Ctrl is how you stay alive in choppers. Although I can't do it with jets because it wont let me look around with Ctrl and joystick. It has to be ctrl and mouse movement. Wish the settings would let me change that. Finding jets would be much easier.

You could use joy2key to do it, but I want to try it in a jet to see if it is even useful. Rear view is pretty much all you need.

i,m using the keyboard an mouse to fly with ( not spending money on a joystick coz i only fly in BF2 sometimes)

what's the adviced speed to set ur mouse on in the BF2 plane controls ?

EDIT: You mention ''Blackhawk'' alot instead of ''Transport Chopper'', this some sort of indication that you don't like flying for USMC?

I don't advise flying with a mouse bro, I can't really help you there. Experiment with what you are comfortable with, but obviously you want it to be responsive, yet not so responsive you can't aim the MGs.

I loved the Blackhawk - always have. The reason pretty much all transport choppers translates to blackhawk for me is two fold:

1. Nobody really flies the other junk ones except in rare cases of a single pilot.
2. I was writing this guide late at night each night this week and I have been very tired. I was writing armor and stuff in place of choppers earlier, I caught most of my mistakes though lol.

If you watch their videos, most of their time is spent raping airfields, and most of their kills are pre 1.2x. I'm sure they have valid experience too, but let's be honest, not everyone wants to go through that much effort to write all that. I didn't but nobody else was picking it up so I figured I might as well get it done.
