So, I'm in this Wake server one USMC team and we cap the Airfield. I proceed to get into the F-18 and take down 1x J-10. 1 down 1 to go. And then there he is on my tail... I evade all 6 of his missiles but the last one managed to do this...

Thats right! Take a close look at the F-18 its in tact the last missile shot me out!!! Has anybody else had this happen to them? Ever?

I know with J-10 you can take out a person in cockpit with machinegun looks like that's what might of happen to you if he gets your head just with one shot you're pretty much dead I think he was using machinegun you can even see bullets going up on that picture

No it's not killing you out of the cockpit, it's just not showing the carcass, it's still showing the live F18 but it's got the "properties" of a "dead" f18.

thats not always true, i get damaged when im in a plane when a missile hits me on the front when im noobing towards mobile aa...... i get shot out a few times without the plane beeing dead.

however that bug olso happens alot, once when i was in a tank i thought: how the hell do you shoot the driver out....

I've died while tailgating a J-10 on wake too closely. Apparently the jet-stream from the exhaust killed me with my plane still intact. Oh yea and the killed message said I was 'No more.'

Sometimes while flying the HIND, and an enemy APACHE shoots rockets at me, I will die but the chopper keeps flying on, and normaly my gunner is like "huh?"

Team-killing jet whores used to say the best method to annoy a rival jet whore is to stick a block of C4 under the cockpit, then wait until your target gets into the jet and begins to take off. Then blow the C4. The jet pilot is killed, but the plane will only be partially damaged, and a jet can be easily repaired by just flying over the airfield.

I've no idea why there are players that spend their time killing their own team just to prove a point, but it does nicely illustrate the "jet's on but no one's home" situation that started this thread.

I've been shot out of the cockpit with sniper rifles, claymores, AT rockets, tank shells, PKM bullets, 50 caliber bullets, TV missiles, c4, cannon fire from helicopters, apc fire and missiles, AA missiles and cannon fire from jets. All in helicopters mind you, but its the same concept.
