Couldn't get the AMD 965 'cause it was out of stock, same with the mobo i was going for, so i bumped it up
Could use spare to probably get another 4850, dunno might be a bit over budget, microcenter doesnt carry 4850s it seems
or could get a cpu fan
Anyway got room for another 2 sticks of RAM and another video card, PSU should hold up through upgrades too np

i got a freezer7pro r2 for like $30 just to take the noise down, glad i bought it

oh make it a dual then. i'll be working in a month or so so probably by this time next year ill have the money to build a proper rig. literally i only use my pc for those 3 games and firefox at the moment. i know its hard to balance the money vs the performance but understand that i really dont need to be able to do too much, so don't worry about trying to max the budget

The E7200 is nothing to be sniffed at. I'd recommend sticking with what you've got just now, upgrading the RAM and perhaps your graphics card too. No point in spending ~£300-400 if you're gonna make a brand new rig around the corner.

er, agreeing with fin here, you're not gonna see a big increase in processor performance

maybe buy some RAM until you can afford to build a better rig

tbh though i just built a 965 x4 rig, you can wait to throw another gpu on there or w/e - there's no point in going for a halfway upgrade here

so the e7200 isn't the piddly little chip i thought it was? oh my

maybe the 1gb ram is strangling it
