Hi guys,
My laptop that I've had for a few months decided today that it won't start up on either battery(full charge) or plugged in. Any suggestions? I was using it last night and it worked just fine. I went to turn it on at the library to get directions to somewhere, and it does nothing when I depress the power button. It is a VAIO EB12FX Core i3 330M, 4GB (Elpida?) DDR3 1066, 500GB 5400rpm HDD, intel GMA HD with the standard (6-cell?) battery. It has worked great up until now, thoiugh I did notice that when I booted into Ubuntu 10.04, the power icon buttton in the menu disappeared and was replaced by a duplicate of my username. I normally use the installed Win 7 Home Premium x64, but occasionally use Linux. The machine went into hibernate when I closed the lid last night, and was perfectly fine as I used it for browsing and downloaded a couple podcasts.
Any ideas would be appreciated
