Im trying to get some badges and for example it says 20 kills with support IAR does that mean i have to use the support gun or can i be support and jump in a armour and do some kills to?
Aslong as you are the support kit, you can be in ANY vehicle and get 20 kills in a round, and you will still get the badge.

You can use whatever weapon/vehicle you want to get kit-bages. Standard rifle, grenades, tanks/APC's... even ARTY works.
^^ what they all said. Best way to get any badge is get in a jet on wake and rape the crap out of the carrier, its not the most rewarding or fair way to do it, but who's gonna pick bones, personally I'd say just go and shoot the crap out of everything that moves on Karkand.
