I was playing TV2 Strike At Karkand five minutes ago, had a good round score and filled my role as a squad leader with five other players in it. We were holding back the tanks in the northeast area of the map, and with only a few tickets left to go, the gold medal was almost in my pocket. A player on my squad spawns on me, and is standing at my left. I spot two MEC a distance away, and start firing in single shot mode hoping my teammate wouldn't step in my way. Of course he did. I hit him with one single shot in his leg (he would have been killed anyway by the tanks having a clear shot at him).

I say sorry in chat two times, and only a second after that a medic comes and revives him. Three more seconds and then he punishes me. You must see why I am mad. I forgive probably 3 of 4 teamkills and I always wait to punish/forgive until the 15 seconds is up just in case some medic comes running along. And this guy punishes me even though he was revived?? Argh.

The first thing I do is to kick him from my squad (not a nice move to punish the squadleader, eh?).
But I still feel mad at the guy. This makes my frustration go away. If he hadn't punished, I would have won the gold medal for the round as well.

His name was I-Arsen-I. I just want you guys to know he is an idiot. Don't ask me why..

Some of you have probably been equally as frustrated as I am.

I haven't team punished anyone in a looong time so when I get punished for an accident that was mostly their fault, it pisses me off too.

But personally, it was a dick thing to do on his part. I've had sudden cases of retardation and run into fire before. Stupid me, my fault. Why punish you when I couldn't watch where I was going.

Hell ya, althou I forgive 99% of TK's be them my fault or yours, I had a guy run into my fire today kill him and the 2 other guys that were there; rez him and I say sorry he still punishes me ?? I then typed "I said sorry and rezed you why still punish??" he just replied "stfu fag noob you killed me you gay = punish". Some people just dont give a shit.

i hate people who punish for everything. once i was flying an attack chopper on kubra dam and a full transport heli flies into me from the side where i couldn't see him. he just flew straight into me, facing me i think (i saw once i was dead) i promptly get 6 teamkills, all of whom punish. Why. the. fuck?

Some people just automatically punish no matter whos' fault it was.
Me and this guy were playing Warlord and were working well together in the TV station me as sniper and him as support and totally by accident we both managed to shoot each other and never once punished yet we get some loon stood on stairs with us and we throw a couple of nades and this idiot decides like a dog to go play chase with them...boom...straight away I get a punish.

I find it funny how you bitch and moan about someone punishing you for your "accidental" TK and then you give me negative karma for pointing you to a thread that will probably save you from dying of internal bleeding out of your stress induced giant ulcers and hemoroids, all because you still thought that Punish subtracts even more points from your score. 3GUNS server, one of their clan members was in my squad, spawned twice on me while I was in APC. Both times when he got out, I rolled over him, and he punished. Trying to avoid a third unintentional killing I kicked him from my squad.

So he types as admin, "Don't EVER kick me from your squad".

Then I received my first ban about a second later.

I guess being an asshole is requisite to being a gamer...

I don't know how many times I have said this. Punishing has nothing to do with your points. You get -2 for team damage and -4 for a team kill, regardless if you get punished or not. This scoring also explains why you may sometimes get -6 when you TK if you shoot your teamate and wound him first before actualy TKing him it will give you -2 for the team damage then -4 for the TK. Totaling -6

The punish system has nothing to do with the - points. It is used to autokick players from a server. Everytime you Tk and get punished it counts against the autokick. If they forgive you it does not count.

I was flying along shooting at an attack chopper and from out of no where I got rammed by a teamate I get the team kill and he punishes me? I was a little upset so I spawned next to him and shot him in the face. Now thats what you punish for! BTW, BMAsRevenge, I didnt know the scoring for TK's worked like that, I thought if he punishes you, you get more points off. Learned something new.

you wont believe some of the shitty Tks you get while bombing, for instance the enemy flag had a uav over it and I saw about 5-6 badguys, so I bombed it. Apparently a teammate was staging a one-man assualt on this flag I got 5 kills and 1 tk and a big fat punish. Same thing happens when i try to help people out by bombing armor and a jeep on my team tries to pass it. once in the Cobra i was circleling a flag letting my gunner shoot shit and a blackhawk+3 lumbers into my flight path so i get a suicide plus 4 tks plus 2 counts of vehicle dmg dropping my score from 70 to 50. now i ply in a non-FF server cause im sick of this bullshit.

I was playing Ghost Town. Round just started, so I leap into the APC, as does a teammate and head off to first flag, across the bridge. As I turn right to go into it, some berk and his entire clan are in a jeep with n00b c4 decorations trying to cut up my inside. result = i squash the jeep against the bridge wall which makes it go 'boom', I get 4 T'ks and a suicide followed by a Kick 2 seconds later. Oh, and they all punished, cos we all know it was clearly my fault for not bloody indicating my intentions....

Wish I had a punish button in my car........
