Out of all the zombie-related games I've played, I think Protoype captured the situational essence better than any others. Says a lot, considering it's more of a mutant anti-hero action game. But seriously, for all the clumsy auto-aim, disguise yourself as a Marine officer, grab a rifle and fight your way through Time square later in the game when most of the city is infested. Friendly fire up the ass with helicopters and tanks mowing through crowds. Other hot spots include people trying to push past the bridge barricades to leave Manhattan with guns cutting them down in front and zombies chewing on their ankles from behind. Once you leave the rooftops, it becomes a different experience.

Anyway, I actually like the fact that Prototype showed the beginning stages of population infection and didn't just throw you into the after effects like others. Doesn't mean I think DR2 will be a bad game, I just brought it up in relation to how I wish more zombie games were done.
How cool would it be if Valve released DLC where you could enact the character backgrounds they're turning into online comics, showing the beginning stages of zombie apocalypse? Louis's first panicky kill would be .
The first DR (sorry DA is virtualization tool we use here at work, lol stuck on my brain) tells how the infection starts. It was some government research in South America trying to genetically engineer cattle. Shit got out of hand and an outbreak happened. ONe of the locals got pissed and took revenge on America by releasing the infection in a mall in Colorado with plans to spread it nation wide. His sister developed a cure/standoff to the infection which is now called Zombrex.

I wish i wasnt so busy. I played up till that part and prop wont get a chance to play again till friday or saturaday. Game is fun though, cant wait till i can start makign combo weapons.
I started playing this yesterday on PS3. Way too many load screens at the beginning. It went from a cut scene to a load screen to a cut scene, so I said F the story and starting skipping them all. Having a bit of fun, first one I played, still trying to get the hang of everything.

You can also get the Zombrex from the pawnshop run by the looters.
If you look at this map it's the peach colored building in the Platinum Strip. They want $25,000 for it though. You can come up with quick cash by smashing ATM machines, they give about $2600, or up to $1900 in the grab money booth in the Americana Casino. You can do the grab money game over and over. Cash registers give $400 each, so smash them as you run across them. There are a few shops that have some cool looking items to buy.
A friend told me you can play multiplayer games, earn a lot of money, and it carries over to single player.

I think I've only fought one so far. It was a tweeker in a bathroom. He could magically disappear in a stall and pop up on the other side of the room
