they make test accnts so they can make sure that it will roll over properly...well as close to working as EA can get anything that is...

What is the point of having 10000 generals? I think they allready were too low.
about 50 or so more hours in vehicles and that just about raps me up to be a general
Guys, realize that there are HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS BF2 players out there. I doubt HALF will have veteran vhelicle badges any time soon.
Just because there are 15.560 users on this board, doesn't mean everyone plays, or has the time to get these shiny awards, and ranks. At least half of the users probably don't even participate actively in thee forums.
This isn't the military, this is a game. Everyone played the same amount, therefore all should at least have a CHANCE the get every award in the game. By making the requirements only available for people who don't go to college, or have to work for a living, unfortunately isn't ethical.
Given the higher rankings should require skill and dedication, 400hrs in each vehicle is LUDICROUS; you all know that deep down inside your kind, caring, and fluffy hearts.

i think it should require expert kit badges for 3 star genral and expert viechal badges for 4 star genral

Yeah I'm guessing that when they implement this there will be maybe ~100 generals. It's 395 hours in vehicles at the minimum and not many people use every vehicle equally.jnick wrote:

I feel bad for the few people that have worked their butts off to get to Gen. then have EA lower the requirments!
Why feel bad? It's not like their points/hours go out the window now. They EARNED them. They EARNED their hours spenti n a vehicle. They still get the general rank; what's the big deal?
People will still notice they worked for their hours and points as it shows in their stats. There's no reason to show sympathy. They are receiving what they worked for, just a few hourse earlier - think of it as a bonus, or kind gesture.
Remember, in all actuality, they aren't working for the rank, they were working for the EXPERT badges, of which they got or are close to getting. The rank is a subset of getting the badges and as enthusiasts, when we look at their stats, we will see their badges and know that they worked for them.

That's true...they shouldn't be too disapointed with their hard work being seemingly wasted, because it wasn't wasted; they have a bunch of shiny gold badges that few other people have.
I know what the new requirements are but I am not allowed to reveal anything until the official final changes to the patch are in effect. However the war college ribbon is literally going to be given away like the recent service medals so dont go making new accounts now hoping for a 3.1 w/l ratio. Thats all I am going to say.
It sucks for the people that put the hard work/or padding whatever you want to call it into earning it.
Most of the expert vehicles hour requirements are going to be dropped signifigantly. But I am sure chucky already knows this.

and we're not like the generals who already have their experts, there's only a statistic for those of us trying to get the WCR, no shinys to show off

I am not going to go into details fellas, I agree a lot of the things about the game sucks. The expert requirements are not that hard, imo. The only one I think is excessive is the EXPERT HEAL which is going to be lowered as well. But the hourly on it may be raised like expert resupply.
I dont know much about that, but the kill requirements might be changed for expert, the reason they are obviously lowering the requirements for any of the badges is because of the people running the stat padding servers. Obviously EA likes money, just because someone is running a pistols knives server they're violating the ROE, but you never see them dissapear for a while. Because EA gets money from those servers too, so while they want to enforce the ROE they would be losing money to do it. And they would be losing players by resetting stats.
So if they literally give off the shiney gold medals for little to no effort so the people that supposedly dont have a life but enough time to report padders and such because they;re not progressing in the game a reason to shut up and get some gold too.

As far as the expert badges go, for the kit combat badges, they aren't too bad at all. However, the vehicle badges - they are kind of way out there. I agree, the Expert first aid and repair are insanely difficult, which is why I'm not bothering with it . . . yet.
