The absolutely absurd depiction of future culture turned me off to that movie initially, but for all the reasons un13 just listed, I own a copy and watch it occasionally.
Oh, that. Well, flying cars by 2000, or whatever the figure was. I can imagine it was poking fun at that.

I didn't think the big plastic band-aids were too off-putting.

FE had such a great start. It opened up this new world and it set it up wonderfully. Then took a dive as it got too involved with a silly plot. Was still lots of fun, though. I enjoyed the majority of it

Why so many of his films study the dynamic of a vulnerable/helpless girl and how various men react to her.

If The Fifth Element is simply a sci-fi Joan of Arc.

I do like his films, they have a certain style which makes them very watchable and the characters very human.

Fifth Element is a fantastic movie. I guess it's marmite.

Léon was pretty awesome too.

If Joan of Arc was able to blast an evil planetoid into a lifeless chunk of rock with a torso laser, we'd all be speaking French.

The Transporter(s).  Anyone knows?
Hitman.
Taken.

Crimson Rivers II - The angels of apocalypse is not bad too.
The Professional (Léon) was awesome.  With Jean Reno again.

He also made the Taxi movies.
What about car chases.  He's not bad at that.  That's where, for me, I would target my questions.  Does he plan to  get in more car movies?

Or could the Professional get a following movie with a second guy?

What does he have in plan for the next movie to release?
Questions are easy.  Did your friend made his homework?
