If you read the Bible, it's very logical. The Earth is 6000 to 10,000 years old, not 5000.
On a side note, dinosaurs might have still existed in somewhat large numbers up until about 100-300 years ago. Those surviving being quite small, and in areas with few humans, such as dense jungles. It's a theory but I see it being quite plausible.
Of course it's plausible. The Jesus we know could even be the combined experiences of several men. Would it matter ? The message is what people want to spread not proof. that's why they use the word Faith.
When I read the bible or rather had it read to me as a tyke I didn't think
" wow Noah put every last worm chipmunk rat snake cheetah melnant neigh neigh mule cow deer and rhinoceros on a huge barge "
I figured he took the animals that were important to him, thought " thank god all the rats and cobras are toast ha ha ha ! Let the rain begin ! I hope this thing floats ? "
The bible stories are supposed to make you think and reflect and alter your out look and actions. Like the children's story
" The Rock in The road " were the liberals dig the hole deeper and set up the trap so everyone will have " Equality of Out Come ", Then the Conservative comes by and fixes the road to promote commerce.
I never really thought some one interviewed the good Samaritan and got it all down on paper just right. I got the messages they were sending even if I didn't buy that Jesus really Walked on water. Maybe Jesus was the David Blaine of his time?
