I prefer Netflix at home, but when I was on vacation this summer I did use Redbox once when I really wanted to see a movie. It was pretty nice, good price. Although if I had internet access at the house I was in, I probably would have just used Netflix streaming (I brought my Xbox).

It's a hell of a lot better than Blockbuster that's for sure.

oic

well it wouldn't hurt to have one in your store

how does the profit system work do you rent a redbox from the company and make a profit off that or does the company pay you to keep it there? read up online that the average revenue is 37k a year. not too bad for a vending machine tbh.

its kinda like buying into a franchise, they set up the unit in particular spot of their choosing, they maintain the unit and keep it stocked and I take a percentage of the profit and pay for the energy cost

its not just the energy cost ... I have to buy into the franchise ..... they don't just set it for free ... you buy a large percentage of the unit but you don't own it

ah shit how could i forget franchising >.<

well if your market is mainly couples at your shop (either married or really long term) they might pick up a movie or two whilst browsing your store. but with shit like direct tv and netflix... itd be pretty risky. you should definitely read more into the business tbh. well if they're popular around the stores near your area it should work out fine for you.

they seem to be pretty popular at the larger grocery stores but I've got some stores out in rural areas that see alot of traffic come through the doors

mostly dollar stores or Little Ceasars Pizza shops is what I've been pondering it over

i'm not sure if it'll generate revenue because i don't know about the expenses and how much you'll profit, but i say go for it.  i use them all the time, and usually when i go to one i have to wait because there's already somebody using it.  its like blockbuster but cheaper.

well stores that main consumers are parents are usually the best for this type of shit when their kids want to get a dvd or some shit. couples in their late 20s as well imo.

its an avg of 5 years before seeing profit ( unless you got some awsm foot traffic location then you could turn your investment over in 2 years )

heh fuck it then.

torrents and netflix is already dominating the market enough unless people in your area are serious tech retards which i highly doubt. not to mention shit like direct tv is good enough.

oh I also have to share my profits with the franchise that I would have the units set up in ..... 10% from cut from redbox would go to the stores franchise

i wouldnt invest if it takes 5 years to make a profit. netflix and direc tv are king now. how much is initial investment? they only make 37k on average a year.

The price point in comparison to ppv is much lower--less than half the price.

That's the draw for most people who use it. It's not that they don't/can't use ppv or other streaming services. Feeble is just ridiculously cheap and easy.
