I dont understand why either of you will be pissed, you act like you were playing the game as a team player in that AA instead of using your time and body to cap flags. I am pretty happy about the changes myself. I appreciate the info that you have given the rest of us. I too was a bit worried about sitting in a AA for 100 hours. Although I am only at like 84000 points I might actually have been able to obtain the general status late next year!137[CSi] wrote:

All of the people that are top dawgs are commander whores, or point accumulating medics. The idea of the game is to have fun with the incentive of earning awards for your hard work. To show your specialty.
All of the ranks will be modified in the upper class area, all of the top 20 colonels will be promoted to general every month as it said on EA's website. All of the ranks that require expert badges will be lowered down to vet requirements. I am working on getting all of my experts too but hell if they're going to modify the requirements to get them I am just going to go back to enjoying the game and wait to see what the new rank or medal requirements are before I waste anymore time sitting in an Air Defense vehicle when I can ground pound in a bomber or do some damage as the assault class or possibly play a support role to help my team. And actually throw ammo bags instead of playing support just to use the almight pkm.
I think the changes that EA is going to make with the new patch are going to be for the good and its going to be what seperates the people that are good players from the people who sit back and play smart w/o really contributing to the battle at all.

Judging by what was said in the preview BF2142 will have a unique leaderboard. Although that doesn't mean BF2 one will not still be going.coreinflames wrote:
