BF1942 is still one of my favorite games. It just worked so damn well, you could have so much fun with it. I think DICE has missed the point with attempts like Battlefield Heroes to get the real fun of the game. I had hopes for the half-arsed BF1943 but I'm doubting whether that will even come out for PC and from the Xbox and PS3 trials it looked to be utterly forgettable.
