Accuracy as a commander

OK u expert commanders out there,can somebody explain to me as when playing as a commander and u do a scan that loads of red dots appear on top of a roof of a building.

It's all good and well seeing them but i never seem to hit,i always put the artty directly on the roof where they all are and after watching when the arty is finnished i have hardly hit anybody.
Is there a trick to carrying out artty attacks to people on roofs?

Should i maybe carry out the artty to the side of the building?,come on guys one of u must know.

And how the hell can u carry out artty to someone who is sniping on top of the crane on Sharqi and killing him of course.

For people on the rooftop I usually place the artillary icon a bit to side of the building because the rounds usually hit the surrounding area of the icon and sometimes it hits in the middle too. If you place the icon directly on top of the building most of the arty rounds won't hit directly on the roof. That's what I notice anyhow. Depends on the map too. Dunno about people on cranes takes a bit of luck to hit them. I usually just spot them so snipers on my team will take them out and they usually do.

Edit: By the way I'm no expert commander LoL. Got four thousand more commander points till I get expert commander badge.

the arty pattern is usually the same for the same flag, but different for every flag...confused now?

what I do is zoom in x3 and fire then watch the arty land, and I will note that on this flag, most of the arty lands at 4 o"clock from the icon, so on my next shot I adjust accordingly, but on another flag the arty will land at 11 o"clock from the icon...you just gotta zoom in and pay attention

i think he's trying to say that the arty lands at different angles as the arty has to compensate for the distance of the targets relative to the position of the artillery cannons themselves...in other words

Arcing Arty Shells.

Depending on the distance from the arty to the target is always good to put the arty just past the target (that is to click the button just past it)

Often u dont hit dead center - and most of the shells falls short of the target - practice at hitting the deck of the carriers and u`ll know what i mean :-)

I read somewhere that you should aim just short of the target relative to where your arty fires from.So on a clock face if your arty is at the 6 and your target is the 12, you would aim a tiny bit below the 12 in order to hit it correctly.

Fuckifiknow, someone try that out.
