Nope. I could've, but I wanted a liberal arts school in case I changed my mind. I wouldn't have gone to Pace if I didn't have the scholarships, believe me.JohnG@lt wrote:

And again, about Stony Brook - great school, but I'm also from the town of Stony Brook and I wanted to go away. I was not planning on commuting. And most importantly, they're not a very heavy Criminal Justice school. Albany is and I'd get a better base education in CRJ than Stony Brook. While I realize it's not essential to have it for Law School, I'd prefer it.

shanghai is nice if you got enough money and beijing is just... pollution central.
my dad probably got an immigration official shot since he was lining up on the citizens line and got yelled at by immigration (hes white but has a taiwanese passport) and when he went to the non-citizen line he just told the other immigration dudes that they guy who made him switch lines said taiwan is an independent country coz he called my dad a foriegner. twas lulz.
my last gf lived in suzhou (3 hours from shanghai) and she hated it.
buddy ben got bronchitis from going to beijing for a week on a school trip.
china fun for a short time.. under 3 mo? i was there for about a month and yes i had a cold haha but what a culture.. i liked the park action and the shopping.. and the art and architecture.. and the food .. yum
beijing, xian, sandouping, fengdu, chonqing,.. shanghai
China is strangely near the bottom of places I wish to visit.

You think I don't know that? I have a brother who has a house DOWNTOWN there... now THAT is a cesspool. But the school is incredible. A great education.JohnG@lt wrote:

Last time I went up to Albany (3 weeks ago) I had such a blast though.
i wanna visit japaaaan need a big wad of $ tho first lol
It's obviously your life and your decision. It's just not the one I would make. I'm past the point in my life where partying and number of girls to play with on campus factors into my equation thoughPoseidon wrote:

I wouldn't go to Albany if it was just that. It's way back on my priority list. #1 is education, #2 is price.JohnG@lt wrote:

how high is your rent poseiden?
Room and board is 12K a year
hot damn thaz expensive unless it includes billz
It's not too bad considering it's in NYC and includes food and no bills.Kimmmmmmmmmmmm wrote:

At my school it's about $9000 a year which is bad since it's in College Park which is a meh college town, and if you're in one of the older high-rise dorms and don't have a single it'll feel like you live in a public housing project. The advantage is you're on campus and it's easier to get involved socially. But that's still pretty expensive.

It doesn't include my meal plan. My meal plan is $1550 a semester.Hurricane2k9 wrote:
