ALTADENA - A man was shot in the hand Friday night in what is believed to have been a gang-related shooting, authorities said.
A rival gang member shot at a black 19-year-old male five times in the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Figueroa Drive, striking the man once in the hand, Lt. Angela Shepherd of the sheriff's Crescenta Valley station said.

The man was standing outside of a liquor store around 10 p.m. when he saw four members of a rival gang drive by in a tan Honda Accord, Shepherd said.

A man from the vehicle got out, walked towards the 19-year-old man and fired five times, authorities said.

The victim was treated at Memorial Hospital for the wound, Shepherd said
