Retarded? The game costs less than some of the in-game cosmetic items. That's beyond retardation.

'Cause that's a very good idea.
Well, that's the point of micro transactions. And nobody would expect the game itself to be at the same price as in 2007.NooBesT wrote:

If it makes you feel any better the crates are on a separate drop system and don't affect your normal gathering of items.globefish23 wrote:

You're not forced to pay for any of that crap.
What I really find most presumptuous and an utter impudence is the fact that those stupid locked Mann Co. crates are dropped.
That really pisses me off.
I'm patiently waiting to get any worthwhile weapons and items I haven't played with yet, but what do I get?
I'm not going to pay real money to open a stupid crate when I already own half the possible content. Even vintage ones.
I don't care about Valve's decision to get more money out of their most popular - but definitely stagnating game - with micro transactions.
But I at least want to play the casually and be able to eventually get all the non-paid stuff, not getting slapped in the face with stupid teasers for their ridiculously over-priced store.

Even more annoying are people trying to trade them for my Bill's hat.Spidery_Yoda wrote:
But yes I think pretty much everybody agrees, they are very stupid and annoying.
I think the 'micro' refers to the tiny quantity of content you get, not necessarily the price.NooBesT wrote:
17.49€ is hardly a micro transaction.
Well, I even think that paying money for paint and name tags is ok.Ty wrote:
But paint, name tags, keys or the most useless addition of all time, wrapping paper at the $2.50 US mark, ($3NZ,) is pretty piss-poor. Hopefully that will get sorted out in time.

I do like the way I'm usually able to tell from a distance and during chaos who is who because of hats.
But yes. That store and the way they remind you about it every few minutes via crate drops. Not a fan.

Too bad the Heavy doesn't sound like the heavySpidery_Yoda wrote:
I used to watch StrongBad videos all the time back in the day. A long time ago. Him answering his emails made me laugh quite a bit.
So yeah I know Heavy, Sam and StrongBad so I would quite like to play it, especially if all 3 of them have a bunch of new funny dialogue. It's just that guy from the completely un-funny Penny Arcade comics (and the fact that everyone will attack me for getting it) that's putting me off.
"siL.Nosferatu Man now owns Poker Night.
