He's not right wing at all. He's at the final evolutionary stage of socialism. It's been fascinating to watch develop over the past year.

How is it enslavement if it's voluntary?  No one forces you to come here.

It's not about killing off anyone.  It's about keeping procreation affordable and practical.  Generally speaking, more advanced cultures move away from having as many kids.  That's a good thing.  It shows that we are capable of moving beyond instincts and emotions.

Turq, unless you support breaking labor laws, those Mexicans would get paid at least minimum wage. Which is what a lot of the poor earn.

He's advocating socialization, he's simply making the rational decision to not treat everyone as equal. He's being meritocratic. Certainly you can relate to that argument since you made a similar one two pages back. Why did Stalin off all the useless people in his nation? Ultimate solution to the problem of freeloaders.

Since every government ever created becomes more authoritarian over time, it's the ultimate destination for socialism.

And don't mistake the right wing for authoritarianism. That is equally shared with the left. It just manifests itself on different issues.

of course it's wage slavery. it's either wage slavery or a supposedly 'developed' society collapses because nobody does the menial jobs.

honestly why are you being so ridiculously stupid? you are completely contradicting every impression i had of you as being moderately intelligent. this is a poor excuse for a 'debate', now. population control, eugenics, third-world economic slavery, white-entitlement... the lot of it. way to go. can you do us all a favour and come to D&ST providing a worldview and an opinion that isn't simply the last fucking book you read, regurgitated? i seriously think your 'process of reasoning and rationally moving through political ideologies' is more realistically a process of representing and spouting the shite from whatever politics/philosophy book you read last. you are utterly mindless.

The ideal government is one run by a ruthlessly pragmatic but still ultimately benevolent dictator.

Granted, finding a benevolent dictator is the hard part.  Ashoka may have been one of the only ones that ever existed.

I frankly think that's an idea that has been distorted to mean "oh anyone can become Bill Gates!" Which I think is false. There's always a chance, yes, but it'd be pretty unrealistic to say a kid born in Southeast DC or any other very poor part of the US will become the next Bill Gates.

That said, there IS a decent chance he can at least attain a decent middle class life. And his kids after that may be able to achieve even greater things, although frankly the middle class is marginalized in this country. Too rich to receive benefits and too poor to completely support themselves.

I agree with that but there is plenty of opportunity in the U.S. to get an education even if you start off with nothing.

There are plenty of programs and system around, both government sponsored and private, that are meant for poor students to get a decent education. Sure it might not be as quick or easy as someone who starts off with a silver spoon but it's completely doable.

Having a decent wage or job is not a right; it's a privilege.

eleven bravo already does a fine job of demeaning me.  Seriously, take a number.  (By the way, he's a lot better at it too, but only because of his absurd persistence.  You tend to mix it up a little better in terms of descriptions though.)

I don't see it as my personal duty to spread the wealth to the Third World anymore than my own consumption already does.  Sorry if that offends you, but it's not like they'd be any different if our roles were reversed.  People are selfish.  That's all there is to it.

"Land of opportunity" simply alludes to the freedom of US society and lack of institutionalized socioeconomic disparity.

Benevolent dictators are extremely rare because the concept is entirely contrary to human nature. Lord Acton's famous quote says it best.

He's been pretty consistently and steadily moving Northwest on the political compass. He may bounce around a bit, but he's been fairly consistent. He's uber authoritarian and uber conformist. The Ultimate Socialist.

what exactly is socialist about advocating the eugenic out-breeding of the proletariat?

yeah, the ultimate socialist solution: because there's no fucking population left to implement socialist doctrine in.

There will always be poor people.  Short of a meteor impact or massive volcanic eruption, there will always be desperate people in need of work and resources and eager to spread their seed.

So, why do you even worry about "out-breeding"?

Well, that's the authoritarian portion of it. The socialist half is deciding to collectively live together in harmony, the other is deciding who to live with. It's social darwinism with a push from those who style themselves as elite.
