Marine, the issue was that for some reason the alarm settings did not follow the DST change, so they went off at the normal hour (aka an hour ahead). Or something maddening like that!!!11 Bravo wrote:

I must say, it is nice to get an extra hour of sleep but unfortunately now it will be darker earlier! But look on the bright side: that means that there will be even more time for nighttime shenanigans

I didn't get any extra sleep...daughter still wakes up at the same time...she didn't get the memo.

My phone still hasn't changed, the bastard!
The UK changed last week, which confused the shit out of me when coming back from the US. Suddenly I was being told Pacific time was 7 hours behind rather than 8, but I couldn't figure out how I'd made it to the station on time if I'd gotten it all wrong. It was only when I got home and my computer told me the clocks had changed that I realised.
Time is silly is the only way to really describe it!ghettoperson wrote:

Funny thing is, I was major hungover that day and while my phone did switch automatically, the analog clocks in my apartement did not. I didn´t realise it, despite looking on both of them during the day. I was in the past and future at the same time. Major maelstrom.

i watched my clock go from 1:59 to 1:00

Sorry, but life began in the Northern Hemisphere.DrunkFace wrote:

What life? Intelligent life, as in human beings? In that case, you may be wrong. Most of the oldest human/hominid fossils are found in South Africa (ref. the "Cradle of Humankind"), even if the currently oldest findings are in Ethiopia. This would mean that intelligent life originates from either side of the equator, most likely the southern side. Unless you are referring to the world being created 6000 years ago in a paradise by God in an undisclosed location with a talking snake, in which case you are wrong again. You can't say for sure where the paradise was, was it on Earth at all, did it exist, which it most likely didn't and furthermore, snakes don't talk, man! They do eat babies though. Christian babies. If what you're saying is that life itself was created in the northern hemisphere, as in amoebas, bacteria 'n shit, then there's really no evidence either way. My best guess would be on both sides of the equator in places where the conditions were most suitable for creation of life, I.e. ribonucleic acid string formation (or something, I'm not scientist). Life in itself can also be the result of a meteorite containing life hitting earth, if you want to go sci-fi on this motherfucker. In that case you should have evidence over on which side of the equator that particular rock fell.War Man wrote:
