I have my TS3 server set up as follows...
I have 100kB/s up -- 2000kB/s down (in bytes)
now, this means if 2 people are in the channel, I'll download it once @ 3.4kB/s, and upload it once.. @ 3.4kB/s
now, if 3 people are in the channel, I download it once @ 3.4kB/s, and upload it twice @ 3.4kB/s -- So @ 6.8kB/s
now if 4 people are in the channel, I still download it once @ 3.4kB/s, and upload it three times @ 3.4kB/s -- So @ 10.2kB/s
So, to find out how many people i can have in one channel..
100/3.4 = 29
I can host ~29 people in my 1 channel if only one person speaks at a time, (consider asynchronous)
now if 4 people are in the channel, and 2 people are speaking, I download it twice @ 3.4kB/s -- so 6.8kB/s, and upload it three times each @ 3.4kB/s twice -- So @ 20.4kB/s
